What is a DermaStamp treatment?
The DermaStamp is a vibrational stamping device, it creates very fine micro channels into the skin to help induce growth factors to help stimulate collagen.
Does it hurt?
Your skin will be topically numbed with a medical grade anaesthetic to ensure your comfort. Therefore the treatment is considered painless.
How is it performed?
The skin is cleansed and sterilised and topical anaesthetic will be placed on the skin for up to 30 minutes to numb your skin.
Depending on wether you have decided on the Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF) infusions (“Vampire Facial”) you will have your blood collected and spun to exact the CGF and made ready to infuse with the hyaluronic acid.
The tip will glide over the skin creating and stimulation micro channels into the skin in which the infusion is flushed into.
Once this stage is completed an intensive moisture mask is applied for about 15 minutes.
Can it be performed on any skin colour/type?
Since we are not using any heat, yes the DermaStamp can be used on any skin colour and type.
How often can I have the DermaStamp treatment?
The recommended treatment plan is to have 3 treatments 8 weeks apart.
What is the downtime?
The inflammatory reaction of the skin fades from red to pink within hours after the treatment. A flushed look can last around 72 hours after. We do prescribe a post laser balm to help heal and hydrate the skin. Using this will decrease your downtime.
How long before I see results?
You will see results as soon as your skin heals, however collagen will grow from around the 6 week mark and will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months.
What should I avoid afterwards?
You must avoid AHA’s, retinol (vitamin A) or anything acidic or active for a minimum of 2 days.
What should I use afterwards?
We will supply you with a post laser balm to soothe and repair your skin.
A soothing cleanser to clean, a hyaluronic serum and a zinc based SPF moisturiser are also recommended to help heal, hydrate and protect your skin, which we also do stock.
Can you increase results at home?
You can purchase an at home DermaRoller system to use at home every second day or just up to once a week to continue to stimulate the skin and help penetrate ingredients deeper into it.
Does the treatment have the same effect as laser?
Yes, but the mechanism of a fractional laser is totally different. The laser beam sets a burn wound that results in necrosis. That treatment can be relatively painful and is known as an ablative treatment. The DermaStamp does not use any heat and only builds up the skin, therefore this type of technology is known as a constructive device.
What effect does the DermaStamp have on the skin?
It improves the thickness of the dermis as well as the epidermis. This is return improves skin texture and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. It also harmonises pigmentation, reduces pore size, helps to break up scarring and improves blood supply therefore creating tissue regeneration.
